a pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, doing business on a worldwide basis, is looking for an:
EVALUATOR IN INFECTIOLOGY (microbiologiste)
To join the department of Research & Evaluation under the supervision of the Senior Evaluator in Internal Medicine
Objectives
? Searching, screening and evaluating new products in infectiology (bacteriology and virology) to be integrated in compagny?s portfolio, with a specific emphasis on the preclinical aspects.
Your tasks
? Identify new opportunities including new chemical entities and biotech products, by different means, including networking through university and personal contacts, and attendance to various types of meetings
? In depth evaluation of the compounds and selection of priorities involving scientific and competitive aspects, including participation in due diligence evaluations
? Preparations of documented reports to be submitted for further evaluation by our internal specialists and/or external experts
? Participation in the conduct of preclinical feasibility experiments in infectiology
? Maintain an update knowledge of recent developments in infectiology
? Maintain and renew a network of high quality external consultants and experts.
Your profile
? MD or PhD, with training and experience in infectiology. A previous experience in pharmaceutical industry would be a plus;
? Languages : fluent written/spoken English (mandatory) ; French (spoken) would be a plus;
? Travelling : approx. 20%
? Proactive and autonomous personality, able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and to work under pressure, with a good capacity to determine the work priorities;
? Open personality, able to work in a team.
