12th ICID: Abstract Deadline - February 15

Dear Colleague,

Tuberculosis and leprosy in early Egyptian cities, quorum sensing, and the spread of avian influenza are a few of the fascinating yet disparate areas that make up the field of infectious diseases today. They also are a small sample of the diverse and thought-provoking presentations that will be part of the 12th International Congress on Infectious Diseases.  From community-acquired MRSA to hemorrhagic fever outbreaks in low resource areas, and with internationally recognized speakers from every region of the world, the ICID provides
a breadth of infectious diseases updates not found in any other congress. For those with interests in veterinary health, the ICID will offer symposia covering zoonoses and the surveillance of animal diseases.
The deadline for abstract submission to the 12th ICID in Lisbon is fast approaching. I urge you to submit your abstract as soon as possible but no later than February 15. Take advantage of reduced registration fees by registering on or before April 15, 2006.
Visit http://www.isid.org/12th_icid/ for complete information, including congress registration, hotel reservation, and abstract submission instructions.
I look forward to seeing you in Lisbon.
Sincerely Yours,

Keryn Christiansen, President. International Society for Infectious Diseases
